Through their work at the Center, WVU law students gain the experience and practical skills necessary to practice law in the energy industry of the future, and to advise clients on sustainable development policies and practices that likely will become part of the fabric of future business practices. The Center also benefits from being located on the campus of a major research institution, with expanded opportunities for inter-disciplinary research. The Center plays an integral role in providing the policy, legal and regulatory analyses to support the technical research being conducted across the WVU campus, including in particular the activities of the WVU Advanced Energy Initiative.
